Drivers have become the new gold rush.

By Lee Thomas Delivnet.

After years of low pay, bad conditions, incredibly long hours and a huge lack of respect drivers are now in the driving seat to drive up salaries and insist on better working conditions. With a 100,000 HGV driver shortfall in the UK, drivers have become the new recruitment gold rush, all types of businesses and especially the big brands are struggling to fulfill driver roles which is adding to the current Brexit woes of goods not reaching UK shelves, it’s also having a huge impact on small, medium enterprises with many owners now getting behind the wheel themselves.

But its a good thing.

It’s about time the industry and UK business economy paid attention to this vital infrastructure ‘resource’. Drivers can now take control and improve pay and conditions, especially if they hold a HGV licence, and put driving roles back at the top of the industries agenda, with over 4 million vans (and drivers) on UK roads they are a critical and vital part of the UK business infrastructure and economy.

Delivnet is now here to help do that.
